It near the end of August, can’t believe fall is already upon us. I can already feel the weather getting colder in the early mornings and late at night. However, the sun is still out during the day and there are still a few more weeks of beach time left for the summer!
Ocean City is by far the most family friendly beach on the Jersey Shore that we’ve been to, and we’ve been to a handful of the beaches on the shore. The beach has a good amount of visitors, we were there on a Monday and all the hotel rooms were booked and the beach was quite busy (but not overcrowded).
Here are all the reasons that made Ocean City our favorite beach on Jersey Shore:
- Both smoking and alcoholic beverages are prohibited in Ocean City.
- Waves are small enough for little kids to play in.
- No need to pay a fee to enter the beach, but someone does check for beach tags.
- Boardwalk is long with lots of entertainment for young kids.
- Many samples available on the boardwalk, very suitable for health conscious moms who want their kids to have a small treat but not a 3 scoop ice cream that ruins their dinner.
- Arcades games, rides, and mini gold are all very kids and toddler friendly.
- Claw machines are “play until you win”, this is my favorite part, because every kid will feel like a winner no crying kids on vacation is a good vacation.
