Shanghai is a very fast paced, vibrant city. Every time I visit Shanghai something new appears, whether it be new buildings, new shops, or even new apps. Though I’m not personally from Shanghai, I’ve been to Shanghai many times since meeting my husband. Thus I speak from a perspective of a frequent visitor. Below are the places that I really enjoyed in Shanghai and recommend to people who visit Shanghai for the first time.
Where to go, what to do in Shanghai as a first timer.
1. The Bund (外滩)
Address: Zhongshan East 1st Road, Shanghai, China
The Bund is a stretch of road near the waterfront area overlooking the famous Oriental Pearl TV Tower. You can see all the modern skyscrapers in Pudong from The Bund. There are many restaurants, shops, and nightclubs near the area. If time permits, you can also aboard a boat from The Bund that takes you to see the night view of Shanghai.
It is such a beautiful place that we had to make it the background in one of our wedding photos.

2. Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street (南京路步行街)
Address: Nanjing East Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai 200000, China
As the name suggests, this is a stretch of street that only allows for pedestrians, which is very visitor friendly as you can wander without traffic. There are shops, markets, pharmacy, restaurants, street vendors, you name it along the street. And it is definitely interesting to see the way people go about their lives here in Shanghai at Nanjing Road pedestrian street.

3. People’s Square (人民广场)
Address: People’s Square, Huangpu District, Shanghai 200000, China
The People’s Square is a huge park in the heart of Shanghai, it reminds me of Central Park in Manhattan. People’s Square is very close to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and other attractions, it’s got shops, playground, theatre, and just lots of trees and benches.

4. Yu Garden & City God Temple of Shanghai (豫园&城隍庙)
Address: No.218 Anren Street, Huangpu District, Shanghai 200010, China
Yu Garden & City God Temple of Shanghai are within walking distance of each other (approx. 5 minutes walk). It is a must see for first timers in Shanghai. Yu Garden will be a nice change of scenery since Shanghai is such a modern city. Yu Garden has got the traditional ancient architectures, foods, as well as the items that they sell (such as traditional clothing), making you really feel like you’ve arrived in China.
Line up for the famous traditional soup dumplings, or try the giant dumpling where you drink out of a straw. Although I prefer the taste of the traditional soup dumplings better.

5. Tianzifang (田子坊)
Address: No.210 Taikang Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai 200000, China
Tianzifang is the cutest little alley that used to be a residential area. It has been restored and became an area that housed bars, restaurants, and trendy boutiques that sells crafts and souvenirs.
I loved the atmosphere here, it really takes you to a different era being here. Shopping for small crafts here will fill your heart with happiness.

6. Xintiandi (新天地)
Address: Lane 181, Taicang Road, Huangpu District, Shanghai 200021, China
This places literally means New World, it has upscale bars and restaurants, as well as luxury shopping.
It has a mix of traditional and contemporary atmosphere and a bustling night life. I loved being here at night, enjoying the music and stroll around the area, taking in the beautiful night view.

上海必去景點 旅遊攻略
上海是一個節奏非常快，充滿活力的城市。每一次當我去上海的時候時，都會出現新的東西，無論是新的建築，新的店面，還是新的ＡＰＰ。雖然我不是來自上海，但我去過上海很多次了。所以，我以一個常客的角度來推薦上海旅遊景點。以下都是我在上海非常喜歡的地方！
1. 外灘
地址: 上海市黃浦區中山東一路
外灘位於黃浦江的旁邊，從外灘可以看到浦東的高樓，也可以看到著名的東方明珠。這邊附近有很多餐館，商店和夜店。如果有時間的話，可以從外灘乘船看上海的夜景。 外灘真的很漂亮，所以我們的婚紗照也有來這裡拍。

2. 南京路步行街
地址: 黃浦區南京東路
這條步行街是旅遊景點，因為只允許行人，你不用擔心來往的車子和巴士。這條街上有商店，市場，藥店，餐館，街頭小攤，應有盡有。是在上海必去的景點之一。

3. 人民廣場
地址: 上海市黃浦區人民廣場
人民廣場是上海市中心的一個大公園，我覺得很像是曼哈頓的中央公園。人民廣場非常靠近南京路步行街和其他景點，有商店，遊樂場，劇院，還有很多樹木和長凳。非常適合在下午散步！

4. 豫園 & 城隍廟
地址: 黃浦區，218安仁街
上海豫園和城隍廟約步行5分鐘而已。對於第一次來上海的人來說，這是必去的景點。上海是一個非常現代化的城市，但是豫園和城隍廟保留了傳統的古老建築，傳統小吃和小店，讓您真正感覺自己來到了中國古代。
排隊買有名的小籠湯包，或嘗試用吸管喝巨大型湯包。但我還是覺得小籠湯包比較好吃。

5. 田子坊
地址: 上海市泰康路210弄
田子坊是個很可愛的小巷子，它曾經是個住宅區，但已經被改變成一個小商區。這裡面有酒吧，餐館，時尚精品店，和賣手工藝品和紀念品的小店。 我很喜歡這裡的氛圍，它真的帶你到了一個不同的時代。在這裡買小工藝會讓您充滿小幸福的。

6. 新天地
地址: 上海市黃浦區太倉路181弄
新天地有高檔的酒吧，餐廳，和賣高級品牌的商店。新天地融合了傳統和現代的氛圍以及繁華的夜生活。晚上在這裡聽音樂，散步，欣賞美麗的夜景是非常棒的！
